Parma Eats

Trattoria Corrieri:

This place was everything you’d hope an Italian restaunt would be. It was warm and inviting and felt like you were eating at a family friends house. We split an amazing platter of meats, my favorite being the spalla cotta.

We also split a very delicious Parma specialty, torta fritta. It is a fried piece of dough that puffs up into a little pilllow. These were amazing.

For dinner, most of us got tortelli d’erbetta, a pasta similar to a ravioli but larger and softer. Mine were filled with spinach and cheese and topped with a butter sauce. Again, amaizng.

Panino d’artista:

For lunch the next day, we got sondwiches. This place had many great options, and I settled on the mattonella con spalla cotta do San Secondo calda e crema di carciofi. This was the spalla cotta, a kind of ham, and an artichoke spread. It was so, so good. Everything here is very simple and has very few ingrideints, but the quality of the ingirdients is what makes it so good.
